Not every mask will fit every person, as we all have uniquely shaped faces. In order to ensure your mask fits your face, and provides the protection you seek from it, plus protects others, it is advised to have your face mask fitted to your face. A poorly fitting face mask will have gaps around the seal, and so allow exhaled breath to seep out through these gaps, as they are the paths of least resistance.
